The catalogue of an exhibition of fifty hollow hand built bisque fired terracotta sculptural works by Malcom Payne. Pre-Columbian, North African Nok and Southern African ancient sculpture are among ceramic traditions reflected upon as well as the tradition of funerary art in these contemporary sculptures.These works emanate from an earlier series entitled Mafikeng Heads (1987-‐1988).
